DOE Mini-grants: Reserved for PAN Underground Participants Only
Instructions for requesting DOE/LBNL minigrants for classroom equipment (for PAN Underground Participants ONLY) submit to p_mcmahan@lbl.gov by July 1, 2008. Send 2 page max request (plus budget or quote), including: · Where and what you are teaching · What you want to buy · How much it will cost · What you will do with it (not a detailed lesson plan but where it would fit in to your teaching syllabus) and · what it would add to what you are doing now. A maximum mini-grant will be $500. We will ask you to send a brief follow-up report at the end of the school year describing how it worked.
Funding and materials for the inaugural year of PAN Underground was provided by the State of South Dakota, the U.S. Department of Energy, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, the American Physical Society Forum on Education, and the Contemporary Physics Education Project.
